STATEMENT
The power of nature is what my eye is drawn towards, both in the view and the way nature moves paint in my wet on wet techniques. I love how the flow of a river contrasts with the solidity of the exposed Canadian Shield; the dynamic power of masses of ice on sculpted bedrock. My recent paintings are a response to the ancient natural forces of geomorphology on the Ontario landscape, our Water, our survival as a planet and the massive landforms that exist around us, 10,000 years in the making.
